The University of Arkansas is holding a 3:45 p.m. press briefing in the chancellor's office related to the recent firing of John Diaomond, associate vice chancellor for University Relations.

The university has also released correspondence between Diamond and Chris Wyrick, vice chancellor for University Advancement.

In the correspondence, Wyrick says Diamond became "irate and confrontational" during an Aug. 22 meeting where he was to be reassigned to associate vice chancellor of communication for the campaign.

Diamond disputes this account and says Wyrick obstructed the university's compliance with the Freedom Of Information Act.
