Come out to Crystal Bridges’ beautiful trails and grounds to celebrate National Public Garden Day with fun-filled outdoor activities, events, and presenters. This multi-faceted event will include a chalk festival, live music by the Block Street Hotclub and the Squarshers, earth-art making, trail tours, and outdoor scavenger hunts, plus a native plant market, a performance by The Artists Laboratory Theatre, a drum circle, and regional artist Craig Colorusso’s Sun Boxes, among other events. Regional partners such as the Ozark Natural Science Center and the Illinois River Watershed Project, as well as other experts in the flora and fauna of Northwest Arkansas will be here to share information and interact with guests, and award-winning garden writer Amy Stewart will give an illustrated presentation on her popular book Wicked Plants, followed by a demonstration of shrub-drink-making! In addition, Crystal Bridges will launch its highly anticipated Outdoor App for Apple and Android devices—featuring interactive trail maps, a plant guide, sculpture guide, photo sharing, and more!
