Clarice Assad – classical and jazz composer, arranger, pianist and vocalist – will be giving a special performance at Walton Arts Center. A native of Rio de Janeiro, she was born into one of Brazil’s most famous musical families as the daughter of preeminent guitarist and composer Sergio Assad. Clarice sings in Portuguese, French, Italian and English, and thrives in exploring her voice as an instrument through a vast array of techniques as she performs her original compositions alongside her own arrangements of popular Brazilian song. Tickets range from $15-30.
