Literacy Council of Benton County will offer U.S. Citizenship Classes starting September 30. The classes will be held each Tuesday at the Bentonville office located at 205 NW A Street, Bentonville, at 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The classes are free and all materials are provided by the Council. Your teachers will be two experienced volunteer tutors and the class size will be limited to ten students. This small setting will allow for more time to be spent with each student. You will need to enroll at the Council, which includes taking an assessment so we can determine your level of English proficiency. If you feel your English isn’t good enough yet to attend this class, you are welcome to become a traditional student and meet one-on-one or in a small group with a tutor until you are comfortable attending the Citizenship Class. We ask all of our students to honor the time our volunteers give freely to you, and to attend every class possible. At this time we cannot provide daycare for children. Please share this information with others. If you are interested, please call the council at 479-273-3486 and ask for Sharon or Vicki.
