Peggy Jean Tice Rogers

Peggy Jean Tice Rogers, 80, of Fayetteville died Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born August 3, 1943, in Marble to Cecil and Bonnie Harwood Tice. She grew up on a farm near Aurora with her brother, Jerry. She married Kennan Rogers of Huntsville on November 23, 1963, and they had one daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Peggy enjoyed watching baseball and cooking shows with her daughter, listening to gospel music, and spending time with her cats and grandkitties. Survivors include her daughter, Tracy Rogers of Fayetteville; her brother, Jerry Tice of Prairie Grove; her niece, Sheri Tice Beeks and husband Scott of Prairie Grove; her nephew, Jason Tice and wife Tracy of Farmington; five great-nieces and nephews; six great-great-nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins, who she loved dearly. She is also survived by her two cats, Maggie and Rylie; and two grandkitties, Cassie and Roxy. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Brashears Funeral Home. No visitation is planned. Interment will immediately follow services at Groseclos Cemetery. Instead of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank, 1378 June Self Dr., Springdale, Ark. 72764; Paws and Claws Pet Shelter, 2075 Madison 6555, Huntsville, Ark. 72740; or Fayetteville Animal Services, 1640 S. Armstrong Ave., Fayetteville, Ark. 72701. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
