Lawrence "Junior" Nichols

Lawrence Junior Nichols was born March 19, 1957, in Bentonville, Ark., at Bates Hospital and passed away February 27, 2023, at his home. He was 65 years old. He was the oldest of three boys and one sister. He loved the Lord, his wife and mother of his three sons, and his grandkids. "Junior" as everyone who knew him, married his wife Lanna on July 11, 1975, and resided in Gravette, Ark. Junior worked at the Benton County Road Department. He was there 36 years until he retired. He really enjoyed working there. He would come home and tell stories about his adventures. Junior loved the outdoors. When he wasn't working in his yard, or cutting wood, he would most definitely be hunting or fishing. He spent hours with his boys doing these things. He was a great Dad to his boys. He introduced them to the Lord. He lived and taught by example. He had many hobbies and was an avid collector of anything and everything that piqued his interest. He loved old antique tractors and hit and miss engines. Junior was a wheeler/dealer. He lived to buy cheap, and turn a profit. And he took many victims that way, including his sons and other family members. But they just couldn't tell him no. Dropping knives was something he practiced to acquire more knives from his friends and family. He loved everyone and was loved by all. Junior was proceeded in death by his father and mother, Lawrence Lamoin and Margie Irene Swank Nichols, brother Ernest Harvey Nichols, his baby sister Sharon, his maternal grandparents, Elmer Harvey Swank and Beulah Callis Swank, his paternal grandparents, Dewey Andrew Nichols and Meda Nichols. He is survived by his Wife of 47 years, Lanna Sue Russell Nichols of the home, his son Jason Nichols and wife Rachelle and grandson Samuel, his son Lawrence Laramy Nichols, his son Shane Lamoin Nichols and his wife Tina along with their two children Morgan and Landon, and his brother, Billy Nichols. Visitation for Junior will be Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 6-8 p.m., at Living Waters Church in Centerton. Graveside will be Monday, March 6, 2023, at 1 p.m., at Gamble Cemetery in Centerton.
