Shirley Jean Ballard

Shirley Jean Ballard, age 85, of Rogers died Monday, October 10, 2022 in Rogers. She was born April 2, 1937 in Fordland, Mo., the daughter of Martha Schuder Daniels and Dan L. Daniels. Shirley was a devoted wife of 55 years and mother to three children and loved by many. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, and spending quality time with her husband, family, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. Shirley accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1968 at a Billy Graham Crusade in Kansas City. She was a member of First Baptist Lowell for many years. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Bob Ballard, who passed away in 2011, whom she married in 1956, her son; Roger in 2021, her parents, her sister; Carolyn, and her brother; Delvie. Shirley is survived by: two daughters; Pam Evans and her fiancé Les Summey, of Rogers, Alisha Lloyd and her husband Brian, of Angier, N.C., nine grandchildren; Jared Ballard and wife Melissa, Shannon Staggs and her husband Clint, Logan Evans and his fiancé Megan Davis, Justin Ballard and his wife Danny, Landon Lloyd, Grayson Lloyd, Brendan Lloyd, Jamison Lloyd, and Brighton Lloyd, four great-grandchildren; Kennedy "KenKen" Staggs, Holden Evans, Colt Ballard, Nate Ballard, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be: Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 6-8 p.m., at Lowell Baptist Church. A celebration of Shirley's life will be: Friday at noon at Lowell Baptist Church with Pastor Johnny Harp officiating. Interment will follow at National Cemetery located in Fayetteville at 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers: Jared Ballard, Justin Ballard, Logan Evans, Clint Staggs, Grayson Lloyd, Brendan Lloyd, and one Honorary Pallbearer: Landon Lloyd.
