Jammie Dean Nelson

Jammie Dean "JD" Nelson, 84, of Springdale, Ark., passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, in Eagle Rock, Mo., after a long illness. JD was born in Vanduser, Mo., on November 1, 1937, son of the late Arless and Helen Nelson. JD retired from Jones Truck Line in Springdale, Ark., after 32 1/2 years, and was a member of New Hope Fellowship Church in Springdale, Ark. JD is survived by; his children, Mark (Laura) Nelson of Eagle Rock, Mo.; Mike (Lora) Nelson of Springdale, Ark., Kim (Chip) Sexton of Fort Smith, Ark., Jeff (Alicia) Nelson of Charlotte, N.C., and Jon (Karen) Nelson of Bella Vista, Ark.; many much-loved grandchildren and great-children; loving siblings: brother, Ken (Pansy) Nelson of Clarksville, Ark.; and sister, Rita Griffin of Hartman, Ark.; many nieces and nephews; and finally, by dear longtime friend, Irene Sager of Rogers, Ark. JD was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Nelson; brother, Varnel Nelson; brother-in-law, Larry Griffin; and great-grandson, Luke Bush. Visitation will be held Friday, July 1, 2022, from 6-8 p.m., at New Hope Fellowship Church, 850 Gene George Blvd, Springdale, Ark. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022, at New Hope Fellowship Church, at 10 a.m., with Pastor Barry Smith officiating.
