Samuel John Reith, 65, of Fort Smith, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022. He was born on February 4, 1957, in Fort Smith, to the late William and Kathryn Reith. Sam was the former owner of River Valley Door and Trim Company and continued to work for Platinum Door Company. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. In addition to his parents, Sam is preceded in death by a sister, Monica Clennon; a brother, Mike Reith, a brother-in-law, Jimmy Pogue, and a niece, Leah Reith Bokermann. The Rosary will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 7:30 p.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the family will be visiting with friends immediately following. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022, at 10 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Tristan and Trintan Pitsco, Cayden Norris, Jimmy Eiland, Garry Cathcart and Harold Hamm. Honorary pallbearers will be Caysen and Cruz Norris. Sam was known and loved by many, he married his high school sweetheart on June 12, 1976, and had two daughters, five grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Cinda Reith, of the home; daughters, Laura Colburn (Jamie) and Tara Norris (Brooks); a sister, Theresa Pogue; three brothers, Bill Reith (Mary), Jerry Reith (Julie) and Tim Reith (Keva), all of which reside in Fort Smith. Sam is also survived by his grandchildren, Tristan and Trintan Pitsco, Cayden, Caysen and Cruz Norris, and step-grandchildren, Sage, Salem, and Sawyer Colburn. Sam truly enjoyed life, he lived each day to the fullest, with great optimism, and strength. He loved his family ferociously, his friends were of great importance, and his work ethic was like no other. Our father was one of a kind, our guardian angel.
