Eugene Lynn McLoud, 83, of Gravette, Ark., departed this life on May 31, 2022, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab. Gene was born December 18, 1938, in Wichita, Kansas, to Forrest and Vesta (Foddrell) McLoud. Gene served in the United States Marine Corp from 1956 to 1962. In July of 2010, Gene married Peggy Wilsey in Jay, Oklahoma. Gene was a deputy for the Los Angeles Sheriff's office, a farrier for 42 years, and worked as a CNA for hospice and Ozark Community Hospital. He was a 32nd degree Mason. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, and stepson, David DeWitt. Gene is survived by his wife, Peggy; daughter, Kelly (Randy) White, Camarillo, California; son, Jeff McLoud, Shawnee, Oklahoma; grandsons, Cory (Destiny) McLoud, Houston, Texas, and Kaden White, Washington; granddaughters, Katelyn (Aaron) Manuel and Morgan White; three great- grandsons; stepdaughter, Kari (Shane) Moore, Rogers, Arkansas; stepsons, John (Sheri) DeWitt and Tim DeWitt, both of Gravette, Arkansas; his brothers, Don Sneddon, and Ron Sneddon, both of southern California; and his sister, Linda Johnson of Kansas City, Kansas. A Celebration of Life will be 10 a.m., June 17, at the Calvary Cowboy Church in Southwest City, Missouri.
