Chris Collen Chapman

Chris Collen Chapman, 66, passed away while on vacation in Polebridge, Montana. Chris was born May 20, 1956, in Siloam Springs, Ark., to Alma and Corrin Chapman. Chris grew up and resided in Springdale, Ark., most of his life. He was an active member of Boy Scouts of America for many years and loved working as summer camp counselor. He attended and graduated from Springdale High School and attended University of Arkansas and received a Bachelors and Master's degree in Accounting. In Chris's adult years he spent his time as a self-employed IT specialist and computer programmer. Chris was an avid outdoor enthusiast from an early age he spent most of his free time bicycling, camping, hiking, and backpacking. Chris is preceded in death by his father Corrin Chapman; mother, Alma Roberts; sister, Sonja Beard. He is survived by his wife, Heidi Chapman; daughters, Crysten Kendall (Jermaine), Ashton Taylor (Drake), both of Springdale, Ark.; stepdaughters, Emilie Lasiter (Blake Burfitt) of Jacksonville, Fla., Gail Argent of Elkins, Ark.; brother, Randy Beard (Cherie) of Bella Vista, Ark.; sister, Brenda Graham (Steve) of Springdale, Ark.; grandchildren, Beckham Taylor, Camden Taylor, Emmett Argent, and Julian Argent. No services are planned at this time. Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls, Mont., is caring for the family.
