Mary Elizabeth Balla

Mary Elizabeth Balla died February 7, 2022. Mary was born April 24, 1919, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Clemence and Olive Foerster. Her family moved to Chicago, Illinois, when she was eight years old. She married John Balla soon after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The couple raised three boys: Kenneth, William, and Donald. She was a pioneer computer programmer. John and Mary retired to Springdale, Ark. in 1982. She moved to Siloam Springs in 2006 to live with Donald and his wife, Judy. Mary was a member of the First Presbyterian Churches in both Springdale and Siloam Springs. She is survived by her three sons and their wives; Barbara Keller, mother of grandson David (Elizabeth); and great-granddaughters, Sarah and Rebecca. Special thanks to all you dear souls who cared for her over the last three years at Grand Brook Memory Care of Rogers and Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.
