Virginia Julie Vaughn, age 87, of Fayetteville, Ark., died on January 30, 2022, at her home. She was born on October 22, 1934, in East Bernard, Texas, to Steve and Frances Michulka. Virginia married Charles Vaughn on December 20, 1957, in Dallas, Texas. She worked as a bookkeeper for Vaughn Battery Company. Virginia was a fantastic homemade cook, making food from scratch. She was the ultimate hostess, making sure that all her guests were fed and had everything they needed before ever sitting down to eat the meal herself. Virginia loved to garden, always spending time out in the yard, constantly planting, and starting new flower beds. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Charles. Virginia is survived by her son, Donald Wesley Vaughn and wife Lisa of West Fork, Arkansas; five grandchildren: David Santell and wife Anja of Fayetteville, Haley Ordway and husband Tim of Bentonville, Brett Vaughn of Fayetteville, Kelsey Vaughn of Fayetteville, and Levi Vaughn of West Fork; great-granddaughter, Evelyn Ordway and another great-grandchild on the way; two sisters, Kathy Nichols, and Elizabeth Hicks; and two brothers, Tommy Michulka, and Raymond Michulka. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, with Pastor Brian Center officiating. Burial will follow at Baptist Ford Cemetery in Greenland. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
