Helen Louise Starkey

Helen Louise Starkey, 92, of Forsyth, Mo., passed away Thursday, Dec. 7, 2022 at her home. She was born May 17, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wis. to Piet and Vivian Anderson Kreulen. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John Starkey; and a sister Margaret Avery. Helen enjoyed reading, working on puzzles and bible study. She was a member of First Baptist Church-Forsyth. Helen loved taking care of her dog Sunny who was her faithful companion for the last 10 years. She is survived by two sons, John Carlon of Missoula, Mont. and David Starkey of Fayetteville, Ark.; three daughters, Margaret Blistain of Fairview Heights, Ill., Maureen Holder of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Helen Jean Irwin of Forsyth, Mo.; 8 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022 at Beard's Chapel. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022 at Beard's Chapel with Pastor Mike Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
