Sabrina Willis, 59, was born on May 5, 1962, in Michigan City, Ind. She died in Baltimore, Maryland on April 15, 2022. She had moved to Rogers with her mother, stepfather, and grandmother (and horse) in 1977. Sabrina worked summers with her mother on the Daily Delights lunch truck and at Suzie-Q and Tale of the Trout. She graduated from Rogers High School in 1980 and was awarded a scholarship to Tulsa University, where she met her future husband and received a B.A. degree on her birthday in 1984. Upon graduation from T.U. she moved with her future husband to Maryland, where she attended the University of Maryland and received her J.D. degree. Prior to beginning law school in 1991-92, Sabrina taught English in a primary school in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia, and provided translation services for the Medical Faculty at Comenius University in that city. Upon returning to the United States, Sabrina worked in a private labor firm, where she was granted the honor of arguing before the Maryland Supreme Court. Her oral and written arguments often "made law" and became bases for subsequent rulings. She actually broke new ground in the area of family and health-related issues. She was subsequently hired by the Baltimore Teachers Union, and then became a staff attorney for the American Federation of Teachers. During the same period she frequently offered a "Women and the Law" course at Towson University's Department of Political Science. Her last position was in the City of Baltimore's labor law division where she worked for nearly a decade. Sabrina enjoyed riding her horse near Baltimore and her annual July 4th trip to Beaver Lake. She is mourned by her husband of more than 30 years, Professor Joseph Rudolph of Towson University; her mother and stepfather, Tanya and Pat Frazee of Rogers, Ark.; and her daughter, Alexandra and her husband, Owen Kubik, of Dayton, Ohio. Sabrina was preceded in death by her biological father, both maternal grandparents and her younger brother, Michael. The celebration of her life will occur at her mother's home on Beaver Lake in July 2022.
