Maxine Weir

Maxine Weir, age 92, of Fayetteville passed away Thursday April 21, 2022, in Fayetteville. She was born December 9, 1929, in Japton, Ark., to Lester and Audy (Nelson) McChristian. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Fayetteville for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Roland Weir; son, Eugene Hughes; two sisters, Nadine Spooner and Betty Page. She is survived by her granddaughter, Rhonda Smith and her husband, Todd, of Summerville, S.C.; two grandsons, David Hughes, and Ken Hughes and his wife, Gina, all of Elkins, Ark.; and her cousin, Pauline Griffin of Siloam Springs, Ark.; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday April 29, 2022 at Moore's Chapel with burial to follow in Mount Comfort Cemetery in Fayetteville.
