Betty Ruth Patton, age 96, of Springdale, Ark., went to be with Jesus on Good Friday, April 15, 2022 at Earline Howard Hospice Home in Springdale after a short illness. She was born on November 30, 1925, in Stella, Mo., to Clarence Cooper and Edith Linton Cooper. She was a member of Cross Church in Springdale. She was an avid reader and loved her daily quiet time, reading her bible and writing in her journal. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Patton; parents, Clarence and Edith Cooper; sister, Dorothy Whitman; sons-in-law, Bob Lyall and Larry Robbins. Betty is survived by two daughters, Cheyrl Lyall of Springdale, and Sallie Robbins of Joplin, Missouri; five grandchildren, Deanna Warner, Susan Harper and husband Reiner, Dana Duke and husband John, Jill Smithson and husband Jamey, and Rob Lyall and wife Corie; 14 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and her dog Ginger. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 19 in the Chapel at Cross Church in Springdale, with Pastor Charlie Foster officiating. Visitation will be immediately prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. A 2 p.m. committal service will be at Rocky Comfort Cemetery in Rocky Comfort, Mo.
