Mary Ann Embry, of Springdale, Ark., 1940-2021. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mary Ann Embry. Mary left this earth for her heavenly home on September 24, 2021, at the age of 81. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Afton Embry, one grandson, and one great-grandson. She leaves behind two sons, Allen Embry (Brenda) of Huntsville and Richard Embry (Mary) of Hindsville. Five grandchildren, Joe Embry (Sarah), Matt Embry (Misty), Julie Evans (Dakota), Jacob Embry (Kiersten) and Leslie Wabaunsee (Gage) and seven great-grandchildren, Hallie, Luke, Brynlee, Blakely, Mariam, Lucy, and Barrett. Four brothers, Roy Wilson, Carl Wilson, Jim Wilson, Kennith Wilson and sister, Marilyn Wilson. Mary was born August 1, 1940, the oldest of six children. She loved spending time with her family and creating beautiful embroidery and quilts for her loved ones. Fishing on the banks of a pond and tending her many flowers and plants were two of her favorite hobbies. She was a charter member of the Robinson Avenue Church of Christ and devoted many years working in the Bus Ministry and teaching at the church school, Ozark Christian Academy. She will be missed by many. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 2, 11-1 at Robinson Avenue Church of Christ in Springdale, Ark. The family requests donations in her name to be made to Willard Walker Hospice Home or Hope Cancer Resources. Arrangements entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home Springdale, Ark.
