Jerry Joe Conn, age 81, of Delaney, Ark., passed away at his home on September 20, 2021 surrounded by his family. Jerry was born on September 13, 1940 in Nowata, Okla., to Joe Thomas Conn and Maude Mildred Spurgeon. Jerry served his country from 1958-1979 as a Sergeant First Class Medic Specialist in the United States Army. He served one tour in Korea, two tours in Vietnam, and 13 years in West Germany, primarily at the 97th General Hospital in Frankfurt. During his time in service, he obtained numerous awards, including the Bronze Star Medal, Expert Field Medical Badge, five Good Conduct Medals, and Commendation Medals for his service in Vietnam. After retiring from 20 years of service, Jerry maintained a cattle farm and worked for R&P Electroplating. Jerry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marion Mueller Conn, originally from Burgdorf, Germany. Jerry and Marion have four daughters, Maureen Brown and husband, Brian, of Fayetteville, Ark., Marieka O'Dell and husband, Todd, of Bentonville, Ark., Melanie Harrison of Bentonville, Ark., and Mirja Williams and husband, Travis, of Delaney, Ark.; and one son, Michael Conn and wife, Alice, of New Hampshire. His grandchildren include Kolby Brown and wife, Reagan, of Elkins, Ark., Logun Brown of Fayetteville, Ark., Alesa Bailey of Delaney, Ark., Meeshka O'Dell of Bentonville, AR, Tryston Bailey of Delaney, AR, Tevin O'Dell of Bentonville, Ark., Emma Williams of Delaney, Ark., Trey O'Dell of Bentonville, Ark., Knox Harrison of Bentonville, Ark., and Ava Harrison of Bentonville, Ark. Jerry is also survived by one sister, Janis Farr of Phoenix, Ariz., and has a loving nephew and three nieces in Arizona. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2021, at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. Graveside service to follow at 1 p.m. at Combs Cemetery in Combs, Ark.
