Harold "Max" Donnohue, 84, of Mulberry, Ark., passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021, in a local hospital. He retired as Director of Plant Operations at St. Edwards Hospital where he worked for 37 years. He was born May 24, 1937, in Huntsville, Ark., to the late Richard Woodrow and Viva Estell (Litterell) Donnohue. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Clyde "Pop" Burrell, sister, Peggy Mae Geheb and a granddaughter, Christina Whitlow. Max loved spending time on his 160 acres. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment in Pope Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. Services will be live streamed on Ocker-Putman Funeral Home's Facebook page. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Donnohue of the home; daughters, Wenona "Jeannie" Dunn and husband Mike of Mulberry, Cindy Whitlow and husband Ricky of Alma, Carolyn Godwin and husband Ronnie of Alma, Judy Hayes and husband Rob of Hagerstown, Md., Debbie Burger of Alma and Lori Carr and husband Kyle of Alma; sons, Chuck Burger and wife Teressa of Mountainburg, David Burger and wife Annie of Huntsville, James "Jimmie" Burger and wife Becky of Mulberry; brother, James R. Donnohue; sisters, Alta Faye Brannan, Naomi Morley, and Joyce Huff; 21 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Andrew Max Burger, Ryan Carr, Michel Godwin, Jimmy Burger, Lynsie Whitlow, Heath Burger, Matthew Hayes and Daniel Jeffcoat. The family will visit with friends from 2 until 4 p.m., Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, Ark., 72921.
