Joshua Lee Pierson, age 39, of Rogers, Ark., went to be with his Lord and Savior on Nov 25, 2021. Joshua was born January 10, 1982, to Ella and Roger Pierson in Tulsa, Okla. Joshua moved to Rogers, Ark., around the age of 10. He graduated from Rogers High School in 2000. After graduation he enlisted into the United States Army as a paralegal. Joshua served two tours in Kosovo and Afghanistan. He was honorably discharged in 2007 as an E4 Specialist. In 2011 he decided to continue to serve his community and become an officer, he graduated the police academy in 2011 and has been with the Benton County Sheriff's office for the last 10 years. Joshua loved the Lord, family, this country and his community. He was an avid reader and had a passion for learning. His main treasures were his children, Lucas and Lillee. He loved spending time with his family outdoors camping, hiking or as he would say "going on an adventure." In his free time, he enjoyed watching documentaries and various sports teams such as KC Chiefs, KC Royals, and Boston Red Sox. Josh enjoyed taking his motorcycle out for long drives with Jess. He was such a goofball, with a heart of gold. He had the brightest blue eyes and the greatest smile. Joshua would help anyone who needed it, no questions asked. He had a great impact on so many lives. He is survived by fiancé', Jess Putnam of the home; two children, Lucas and Lillee Pierson of the home; his father and step-mother, Roger and Renee Pierson of Locus Grove, Okla.; his sister and brother-in-law, Alicia and Chris Robertson of Belton Mo.; sister, Karissa Pierson of Tahlequah, Okla.; nephews, Justice and Caleb, nieces, Morgan, Kylee, and Hayley of Belton, Mo.; grandparents, Kent and Judy May of Rogers, Ark., many aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends that will miss him greatly. He was proceeded in death by his momma, Ella Pierson. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you were ever you go. Joshua 1:9 Funeral service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m., at Cross Church at Pinnacle Hills in Rogers. Online condolence can be made at: www.rollinsfuneral.com.
