Cecil James Turner

Mr. Cecil James Turner, age 79, of Gentry, owner of The Station Café on the Bentonville Square, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021, at his home. He was born May 14, 1942. Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Turner; brother-in-law, Randy Scott; and sister, Judy Turner. Cecil was a generous and caring person who sacrificed to make sure his family was cared for and had what they needed. He taught his children a work ethic that they all learned from and adopted into their daily lives. He was instrumental in the community, opened his doors to all, and ensured that no one was left behind or struggled. He taught us all what respect means and embedded "My Pleasure" in all that we do and say. Mr. Turner is survived by his sister, Ellen Beth Scott of Belton, Mo.; children, Donnie Turner and wife Christy of Gravette, Ark., James Turner and wife Jill Turner of Minnetrista, Minn., Rhonda Johnson and husband Greg of Gentry, Ark., and Michelle Kocur and husband Kurt of Champlin, Minn.; grandchildren, Donald Joseph Turner, Kaylea Maddox and husband Austin, Alexander Turner, Sydney Turner, KateLynn Johnson, Mikailah Johnson, Danielle Terrel and husband Lonnie, and Kenzie Croker. Great-grandchildren, Jameson Turner, Elliotte Turner, Rowan Terrel, Ford Terrel, and Cooper James Maddox; sister-in-law, Judy McCormick; and numerous, nieces, nephews, friends, and loyal customers of The Station Café. Visitation: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, November 29, 2021, at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, Rogers, Ark. Funeral service will be held 12 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2021, at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel; burial will follow in Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery.
