Steve Townzen, age 66, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away July 27, 2021, in Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, surrounded by his family, due to complications of pneumonia, non Covid-19 related. He was born December 30, 1954, in Springdale, to Shirley Townzen and raised by Rosa and Howard Townzen. Steve was a retired Firefighter Paramedic for the City of Rogers, he also enjoyed working on his farm, fishing, and woodworking. He was a member of Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church in Cassville, where he was song leader and Sunday school teacher. Preceded in death by his birth mother, Shirley Major and her husband Carl, Rosa and Howard Townzen, his biological father, Don Morrow, daughter, Mechele Marie Townzen, siblings, David Major and Roberta Edgeman. He is survived by his wife, Linda Hamilton Townzen of the home; children, Michael Townzen and wife Beth, Melissa Yount and husband Tim, all of Cassville, and Branden Stoker, of Jonesboro, and his sisters, Dee Burrows, Myrna Massengale, and Karla Meeker, grandchildren, Taylar Jackson, Hayden Gadberry, Tylar Townzen, Danny Ballard, Trevar Townzen, Elizabeth Tankersley, Cody Self, Ashley Cheatum, Alesha Cousins, Andrea Cousins, Kayla Yount, Joshua Yount, Case Stoker, Beckham Stoker, and great-grandchildren Jordan, Isaac, Alex, Brennleigh, Everleigh, Brylee, Colt, Nate and Elizah. Funeral services 2 p.m., Monday, August 2, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Cave Springs. Interment in the Benton County Memorial Cemetery, Rogers, Arkansas. Visitation 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Sanctuary Fund at the Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, 17393 State Hwy. 248, Cassville, Mo., 65625.
