Nettie Newman

Nettie Newman was born on February 10, 1930 in Chester, Ark., and passed away February 24, 2021 in Rogers, Ark. Nettie is preceded in death by her husband, Max Newman; son, Ronnie Neighbors; sisters, Lorene Lowery and Millie Hulse; father, Richard ‘Dick' Rush; and mother, Verona Rush. Nettie is survived by sons, Dale and Jimmie; daughter, Linda Rigsbee; brother, Raymond Rush; grandchildren: Brian, Mickey, Carla, Jimmy, Cheryl, Beverly, Paula, Susan, Stephanie, Dallas and Christine. Nettie also has several great and great-great grandchildren. Nettie worked hard her whole life; she worked a canning factory in Prairie Grove, Ark., Elizabeth Hospital in Prairie Grove, Ark., Campbell Soup in Fayetteville, Ark., and Prairie Creek Animal Hospital in Prairie Creek, Ark. She spent 91 years here for us and anyone else she met or with anyone that was lucky enough to call her friend. She had a contagious smile and a huge heart, and would do anything she could do to help anyone friend, family, or stranger, it didn't matter to her. She loved the lake and water skiing and always enjoyed when the family would bring friends out to the lake. She had a great time watching them learn how to ski. Her other love was square dancing. She would teach anyone she was around how to dance. It was not uncommon for her to start singing and dancing while cooking dinner for the whole family. She will be dearly missed.
