Garnet Louise Dockery Terry

Garnet Louise Dockery Terry, age 92, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed from this life on February 13, 2021 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Ark. Garnet was born on February 16, 1928 in Sunset, Ark., to William Henry and Lydia Ratliff Dockery. She was the last child of nine, eight of who lived to adulthood. She was a 1946 graduate of Fayetteville High School. She was a charter member of North Street Church of Christ (Mount Comfort Church of Christ), a long time Sunday School teacher, and a member of Hilltoppers as long as she was able. She was also a member of Busy Bees Extension Homemakers Club. She loved sewing, cooking, quilting, and other crafts. She always had a huge smile, especially for her family. Garnet is survived by her children, Steven Terry(Tammy) of Fort Worth, Texas, Patti Bourke (Kevin) of Fayetteville, Candy Nelson (Les) of Springdale, her 12 grandchildren: Mark Terry, Kyle Terry, Amanda Biles (Joe), Emily White(Wayne), James Terry, Ben Terry, Matthew Terry, Sarah Bourke (Austin), Brian Bourke (Mraina), Christopher Nelson (Heather), Alex Nelson (Randi), and Spencer Nelson (Faith), and her seven great-grandchildren, Hailey White, Drew White, Riley Terry, Braxton Nelson, Annalise Nelson, Weston Nelson, and Harper Nelson, and numerous nieces and nephews who she loved wholeheartedly too. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hugh G. Terry, her brothers, George L Dockery and William H Dockery, Jr., her sisters, Mary Adams, Ruby Jarnagan, Ruth Dennis, Pauline Mills, Colleen Thomas, and Wilma Jamerson, her stepson Donald Terry, and his son Shawn Terry. There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be a private family affair following strict COVID protocols on Saturday, February 27, 2021 with burial to follow at the Terry Cemetery at Sunset, Ark.
