Arthur "Al" Parker

Arthur L. Parker, III, or Al to family and friends, 71, passed October 24, 2020. at home in Sulphur Springs, Ark. He was born on July 15, 1949, in El Dorado, Ark., to the late Roy and Gladys (Lindsay) Parker. Al was the husband of Petite (Roberts/Honderich) Parker. He moved to Fayetteville in the mid 70's where he was a finish carpenter most notably restoring the post office building before attending the nursing program at the University of Arkansas. Al spent time coaching the Natural Lights women's, softball team of Fayetteville. He had a love for music, especially the Grateful Dead. He enjoyed restoring Land Cruisers, going rock crawling, and was a member of the Rock Crawlers of NWA. He enjoyed working outdoors and passing time on his tractor. Al had a love for dogs and rescued many from the shelter. He worked for several local hospitals before retiring from Northwest Health in Springdale. Al is survived by his wife, Petite of Sulphur Springs; children, Zac Parker of Ariz., Paxton Roberts of Fayetteville, Megan Roberts of Sulphur Springs, and Aaron Roberts of Centerton; sister, Kathy Thompson of Fayetteville; nephew, Quin Thompson of Fayetteville; and six grandchildren, Ashe, Miana, Avery, Owen, Everly, and Sutton.
