Clarence Herbert Logue, age 90, went to meet his Savior on Saturday, October 10, with his family in the Lawton, Okla., home of his daughter. Born November 20, 1929, in Fayetteville, in Washington County Ark., he was the son of Herbert Logue and Rachel Ann (Peters) Logue. Clarence married his wife of 64 years, Betty Jo Bruce, in Fayetteville Arkansas in 1956. He served his country through service in the Army including a deployment to Korea during the Korean War. He retired from Ozarks Electric Cooperative in 1992 after receiving his 25-year watch and his 35-year certificate. He served as the church secretary of First Assembly of God in Fayetteville, Ark., for over 40 years. He had attended First Assembly of God in Lawton, Okla., for the past year. He is survived by his wife, Betty Logue. Survivors also include daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Clint Bryan of Lawton, Okla.; granddaughter and husband, Elizabeth and Brandon Perkins of Lawton, Okla.; grandson, Stephen Bryan of Lawton, Okla.; great-grandchildren, Sadie Perkins and Logan Perkins of Lawton, Okla.; sister, Ruby Sullivan of Springdale, Ark.; and brother, Paul Logue of Springdale Ark. Pappy, as he was known to grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was heard many times telling stories of playing basketball and of throwing a pretty good curve in baseball for Elkins High School. He enjoyed growing a garden and mowing his own lawn until he was 88 years old as he was oft heard to say. He enjoyed mall-walking with his wife throughout his retirement. He could be seen almost daily exercise-walking about sunset with his family on the sidewalks of Cameron University as a 90-year-old. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday October 19, 2020, at Moore's Chapel with a private burial to follow in the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
