Rosalie (Rose) Davis

Rosalie (Rose) Davis, died November 8, 2020. She was born May 16, 1937, in Winfield, Kan., to Dorothy and Kenneth Pitman, one of eight children. In 1954, she married Clarence Davis, in Plainview, Texas, a union that lasted for 56 years. Rose and Clarence lived in Lubbock, Texas, for many years, where Clarence was a long-haul trucker, and she was a part time trucker and full time homemaker, gardener, and devoted mother to her two children Jerry and Debra. Mrs. Davis was a strong woman of faith and attended First Christian Church, in Gravette, Ark., for more than 20 years, where she participated in charitable activities such as Care and Share and Angel food, as well as many craft activities with various groups in the church. Rosalie is the sister of Gary, Donny, Jimmy, John, Carl, Bobby Pitman, and Mary Vorheis; mother of son, Jerry Davis wife Esmeralda Alfaro-Davis, daughter Debra Dixon; grandmother, of Jeremy Davis, wife Shannon Davis, Stephanie Hurdis-Davis, and cared for by ex-daughter-in-law, Lisa A Davis and her daughter Autumn Wallace. Mrs. Davis will be missed by all who remember her cheerful and hard-working spirit. A memorial service will be held at First Christian Church, Hwy 59, Gravette, Ark., at some time in the future.
