Jack Carter Slayton, 73, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Tuesday, November 3, 2020, in Rogers. He was born October 18, 1947, in Gurdon, Ark., the son of Jack E. and Julia Lucille Carter Slayton. He was a graduate of Southern State College, now known as Southern Arkansas University, and also graduated from St. Michaels Med Tech School. He lived in El Dorado, Ark., before moving with his wife, Donna to Bella Vista, Ark., in 2012. He was a member of Bella Vista Community Church, where he attended Men's Bible Study. He loved hunting, fishing and was an avid Arkansas sports fan. Survivors include the love of his life to whom he was married 53 years, Donna Slayton of the home; daughters, Kimberly and husband, Daniel Krummen of Springdale, Ark., Michelle Slayton of Fort Worth, Texas; grandsons, Carter and Grayson Bishop, their father, Roy Bishop; sisters, Shirl Barksdale, Linda McCroskey, both of El Dorado, Ark.; and his dog, Buddy. Funeral service will be 4 p.m., Friday, November 6, 2020, at the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Ark., with Dr. Jeff Reed officiating. Burial will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, in South Fork Cemetery in Gurdon, Ark. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m., till service time.
