Kathleen Ann Zwiefelhofer, 73, passed with grace on May 7, 2020, at her home in Bella Vista, surrounded by loving family. Kathy was born in Wisconsin Rapids, WI on June 30, 1946, the eldest child of Ernest and Rose Ann Kranski. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Marvin, her four children: Danielle Stokes of Bentonville, Robert (Debra) Zwiefelhofer, Sandra (Randy) Adams, Tricia Zwiefelhofer, and her nine beloved grandchildren. We will continue to draw strength from her courage, and be blessed by her memory, even as we grieve. She will also be dearly missed by her eight younger siblings: Jeaneen (Gary) Anderson, Shirley Burdick, Ronald (Debby) Kranski, Richard Kranski, Kristine (Kevin) Graham, Karolyn Spaulding, Susan (David) Castronova, and Vicky Kranski, the latter three from the NWA area. Kathy most recently worked as a circulation accountant with the Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette. She earned her Associate degree in accounting after raising children and while helping them reach their own higher education goals. Kathy was the hub of her extended family, the North Star for her children, and will be remembered as a strong advocate for women's and children's rights and personal independence. She was a straight-shooter who minced no words, enjoyed spirited debate, and relished her public library privileges. She was private in her faith, and an indomitable fighter of the physical maladies to which she ultimately succumbed. A private memorial service will occur within the next two weeks, then she will be interred at Bella Vista Memorial Garden Cemetery. A proper celebration of her life will follow at a future date, as public health considerations allow. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory. Condolences may be expressed at www.funeralmation.com.
