Norman Rogers Willm

Norman Rogers Willm of Pea Ridge passed away on March 18, 2020. He was born on June 16, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late August and Dorothy Willm. Norman will be remembered as a hard worker who loved his family and his country. During WWII he served in the US Navy, and afterward in the Postal Service. He continued to work in the Postal Service for a total of 38 years before becoming the postmaster at Mid-America Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas, where he retired after 11 years. After retiring to Northwest Arkansas, Norman and his wife, Zelpha, enjoyed volunteering at Mercy Hospital, where they earned accolades for devoting more than 1,500 hours of their time. Norman was a member of the Pea Ridge Church of the Nazarene. He was a member of the Nazarene faith for 70 years, and served in many different church positions. He was also a member of Gideons International for over 40 years. His survivors include his daughter, Judy Palmer (Harry) of Pea Ridge; grandchildren, Marcus Palmer (Veronica) and David Palmer (Shari); five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Laub. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife Zelpha; and his brother, Robert Willm. Norman will be laid to rest in Benton County Memorial Park.
