Alma Jean Martin

Alma Jean Martin, 97, of Springdale, passed away March 17th. Jean was born August 1, 1922 in Little Rock to Wm Edward and Bessie Smith Ross. Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ray Martin, her parents and brothers, Bill and Myron Ross. Jean is survived by three daughters, Judy Martin, Marilyn Walker and Beverly North and husband Joel, four grandchildren, Sherri Wyatt, Stacy Bowen, Michael and Jason North, six great-grandchildren, Amanda and Amber Henderson, Jadon, Ayden, Asher and Landon North, two great-great-granddaughters, Raelynn and Henleigh Henderson, one sister, Linda Wright and many loving nieces and nephews. Jean was a professional musician in the greater Little Rock area. In 1964 Jean and Ray moved to Hot Springs, where they owned the North American Van Lines Agency until retirement.
