Norman M. Swartwood

Norman M. Swartwood, 84, passed away on March 2, 2020 at his home. He was born on January 18, 1936 in Coweta, Oklahoma to the late Fred and Fannie (Richardson) Swartwood. He was the loving husband of the late Bettie Swartwood who passed in 2018. He was an avid LA Dodgers fan who enjoyed horse racing, gardening, and spending time with family. He especially enjoyed playing with and watching his grandkids play sports. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and siblings, Johnny Swartwood, Marie Martin, Opal Freemen, Lucille Hamilton, and Wanda Renaud. Norman is survived Kevin Swartwood of Bentonville; daughter, Cheryl Whatley and her husband Chad of Pea Ridge; and three grandchildren, Alli Whatley, Sara Whatley, and Brandon Whatley. A visitation will be on March 6, 2020 from 12:30-2 p.m. in Eastside Assembly of God in Bentonville, with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. His burial will be at Bentonville Cemetery, proceeding the service.
