Doris Emily Nida

Doris Emily Nida, age 69, died March 2nd, 2020. She was born in Rogers, AR on November 14, 1950 to the late Rev. Clyde Nida and Georgia (Sparlin) Nida. A lifelong resident of Rogers, she retired from Walmart after 31 years of service. She was devoted to her family, which included 11 siblings. She had a hand in raising many nieces and nephews and lovingly cared for her mother, Georgia, and her sister, Madge, in their later years. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Austin, Texas, where she spent time with her niece, Kim, and family. She also enjoyed traveling abroad with Walmart as well as family trips to Colorado and Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Madge Bland and Alice Henson; four brothers, Jimmy Nida, Richard Nida, Wayne Nida and Darrell Nida. Doris is survived by one sister, Nancy Pendergraft (Ralph) of Tontitown and four brothers, Larry Nida (Linda) of Pea Ridge, Bob Nida (Marcia) of Delaney, Jerry Nida (Jeanette) of Garfield, and Paul Nida of Dallas, Texas. A celebration of Doris's life will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2020 at First Christian Church in Rogers with the Rev. Shawn Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at Rogers Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Doris to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
