Mary Ruth Sallee

Dr. Mary Ruth Paschal Sallee, age 81, of the Brannon Mountain Community, passed away June 3, 2020. She was born April 3, 1939 in Winslow, Arkansas the daughter of Jesse Vance and Bonnie Lou Nickell Paschal. She was preceded in death by her husband Dempsey Sallee; her parents; a son Wendell V. Sallee; a brother Jerry Paschal; two sisters Patsy Paschal Doolin and Janie Lou Paschal Noisewater. Dr. Sallee was a retired teacher and administrator who taught school for 43 1/2 years. She loved her kids and school kids and would go to the mat for them in a heartbeat. She is survived by a son Wayne Sallee and his wife Beverley; four grandsons Clayton Sallee (Shannon), Matthew Sallee (Krystina), Dustin Williams (Ashley) and Cole Williams; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 9 a.m. – 10 a.m., Friday at Nickell Memorial Chapel followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. at the church.
