John Edward Leach, 80, of Rogers, went to be with his Lord Jesus on July 24, 2020, after a year-long battle with cancer. He was born March 23rd 1940, in Bentonville to the late George Albert Leach and Jennifer Josephine Walton Leach Munson. He served in the National Guard. His various job positions were: Rogers Woodworks employee, police officer, EMT, firefighter, building inspector, lawn care, Daisy Manufacturing Plant employee, Benton County court house maintenance, Daisy Museum contractor. Later in life he became an expert Daisy BB and soft air gun repairman. He was a member of First Baptist Church Rogers for over 55 years. He was a church usher, Sunday School teacher, choir member, bus driver, and was on the visitation team. He was an accomplished accordionist. His hobbies included hunting, driving in parades, and was an antique car enthusiast. He was a devoted and loyal husband, a loving father and grandfather, a hard working provider for the family. He was an honorable and honest friend who enjoyed socializing at the Waffle Hut and other establishments. John is preceded in death by his mother and father and four siblings. He is survived by his wife, Leona May Epps Leach; one son David (Judy) Leach of Bella Vista; one daughter Dianna (Kelly) Forrester of Virginia; 6 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29 ,at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday in Hart Cemetery in Rogers.
