Arlene Mary Muhlitner, 97, passed away Monday, December 30, 2020 in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born November 4, 1922, in Lansing, Michigan, to Henry and Gladys (Railer) Hammond. She was a graduate of Lansing Eastern High School. Arlene had many loves in her life, the most important of which were her husband of 56 years, Harold, and her two daughters, Carol and Mary, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her passions included singing in the choir of the Grace United Methodist Church of Lansing, playing piano and organ, sewing, gardening, travelling, and caring for her pets. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold, two sisters, Audrey Meddaugh and Ardeth Carpenter, her brother Richard Hammond, and son-in-law, the Rev. Toby Stadden. She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Stadden and Mary Brizzi (Steve); her grandchildren Stephanie (Brizzi) Tinsley ( Zachary), and Matthew Brizzi (Jeremy Dickerson), Michael Stadden, Bethany Stadden, and Alyssa Stadden; and her great-grandchildren, Logan and Easton Tinsley, and Thea and Jasper Stadden (Bethany's children); by nieces and nephews, and friends who mourn her passing. A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 19, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Health and Rehab in Springdale. A reception will follow. Memorial donations may be made to The Lewy Body Dementia Association and the Grace United Methodist Church Choir of Lansing, Mich.
