William Richard Sheppard

William Richard Sheppard of Washburn, Mo., went home to meet his Lord on January 3, 2020. He was born on February 6, 1947 in Portand, Ore., to the late Charles and Elsie Marvine (Coonfield) Phillips. Bill worked as the front-end manager of Phillips Grocery Store. He was also a handyman and a skilled electrician. He was a caring, hard-working man who raised his family and looked after his land. The Lord Jesus Christ was Bill's rock and Savior. It was Christ who brought Bill and his wife Kathy together and blessed them with 40 years of loving marriage. He and Kathy were both disabled, but Bill always helped keep the house clean and his family fed. He was the love of Kathy's life. Bill is survived by his wife, Kathy; children, Karen Grady and husband Kevin, Kelly Patton, Cory Corbett and husband Jim, Samuel Sheppard, Luke Sheppard; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and siblings, Charlotte Gayle Caldwell and husband Curtis, and Steve Sheppard. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Sarah Daisy Sheppard; and brothers, Jim Sheppard and Dwayne Phillips.
