Mary Louise Hanlon

Mary Louise Hanlon formerly of Bella Vista, Ark., died December 16, 2019, in Little Rock. She was born September 27, 1927 in Madison, Wis., to Joseph Herman Dahmen and Regina Grosse Dahmen. She moved from the Chicago suburbs to Bella Vista in 1985. She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, St. Bernard's Women's Club, and a representative for "Care & Share" for over 14 years. She was a Girl Scout leader, an avid golfer, bowler and card player. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years Bernard Hanlon; her brothers Al, John, and James Dahmen and sisters Clara Dee and Lorena Gordon. She is survived by two sons, James Hanlon Sr. and wife, Bev of New York, Michael Hanlon and wife, Sandy of Illinois; two daughters Patty Gotway and husband, Jerry of Indianapolis, Ind., Kathy Hanlon of Little Rock, Ark.; an "adopted daughter" Cindy Ford of Rogers, Ark.; one sister Dolores "Dolly" Shivler of Madison, Wis.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and beloved dog Sophie. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Bernard Catholic Church, One St. Bernard Lane, Bella Vista, Ark., at 11 a.m., January 18, 2020. A memorial lunch will be celebrated in Chicago in the spring.
