Jackie Lou Dorman

Jackie Lou Dorman, LPN, Surgical Technologist, Certified First Surgical Assistant passed away at home on January 10, 2020. She was a respected member of the NWA Medical Community. Jackie was the office nurse for Dr. J.W. Dorman until his retirement, and then Dr. Jerry Dorman as his clinical nurse and assistant in surgery at the Dorman Clinic in Springdale. Her dedication and compassion for their patients was unsurpassed both as a nurse and friend to many. Jackie was the daughter of Jewel T. (J.T.) and Bess (Lewis) Casebolt. She was born on May 10, 1940 in Coweta, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Freda Sue Moore, her brother Kenneth (Casey) Casebolt, and her grandson Stephen Willis. Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Dr. Jerry Dorman, her children; Jim Willis of Siloam Springs, Dr. Marcia Overby (Bill) of Fayetteville, Theresa Farrar (Danny) of Springdale, her step-sons; Andrew Dorman of Springdale, Alan Dorman (Thao) of Springdale, and John Dorman of Denver, Colorado, her sister Denise Davis of Oklahoma City, her grandchildren; Tyler Farrar (Seanne), Austin Willis (Brooke), Hank Overby (fiancée Alyssa Draper), step grandson Joshua Dorman, great-grandson Fitz Farrar, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by their beloved Norwich Terrier, Tucker. Jackie and Jerry loved to travel and early on spent many wonderful days traveling across the US. Later they realized that it was not the trips but just being together that made it wonderful. Jackie was an excellent cook, and loved reading cookbooks, of which she had many. According to her wishes there will be no formal service. There will be a celebration of her life at their home (2000 Pin Oak Drive, Springdale 72762) on Sunday, January 19 from 2-5 p.m. to which all friends of Jackie and Jerry are invited.
