Walcie Frances Main, 91, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the Maples Nursing Home in Springdale. Frances was born on August 13, 1928 in Wagoner, Okla., a daughter of Henry Sampson Mashburn and Jimmie Robirds Mashburn. She was widow of the late, Kenneth Carl Main, whom she married on June 8, 1946 and preceded her in death in 1996. Frances was a dedicated home maker and had worked for several years as a custodian in the Springdale Schools, where she earned several awards during her tenure. She was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle in Bethel Heights. Frances was also preceded in death by her parents, one son Kenneth Gene Main, a great-granddaughter, Anna Faith Day; five brothers and two sisters, George, Ahma Lou, H.N., James, Jerry, Ed and Pat. She is survived by daughter, Betty Lane and husband Danny of Springdale; a son, Bobby Main and wife Sharon of Springdale; and daughter Debbie Wood and husband Greg of Gentry; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Ludean Prim of Lowell; along with several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale on Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Gospel Tabernacle in Bethel Heights on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 10 p.m. Rev. Bobby Main and Brother Michael Wood will officiate the services. Burial will be conducted at the Phillips Cemetery in Bethel Heights under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale.
