Jacquelyn Amos Hawkins, 74, of Springdale passed away December 26th, 2019 at her home. Jacquelyn was born on September 20th, 1945 in Cahokia, Ill., to John and Retha Harmon. She married John Hawkins June 25th, 1976 in Cahokia, Ill., Jacquelyn worked for the EOA in the Heap Program until she retired. Jacquelyn and John moved to Springdale from St. Louis, Mo., in 1985 and built their house on Beaver Lake in 1986, with Jacquelin being the general contractor. Jacquelyn enjoyed gardening, feeding the deer, hummingbirds, squirrels and other wildlife, including rescuing her pet raccoon Susie, and listening to Frank Sinatra. Jackie was also an avid reader of British mystery novels and enjoyed watching British mystery shows. She was a member of the Lutheran faith. Jacquelyn is survived by her husband John Hawkins of the home, her son Charles David and wife Rebecca Hawkins of Springdale, Ark., and daughter Dawn Renee Wickizer and husband Matt of Centerton, Ark., and two grandchildren Gabriel Hawkins of Springdale, Ark., and Jackie Hawkins of Hot Springs, Ark. Jacquelyn was preceded in death by her son Timothy Wayne Hawkins. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m., January 3, 2020 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel.
