Woodrow "Woody" Thomas Rogers

Celebrating 75 years of life, Woodrow (Woody) Thomas Rogers, laid to rest his beautiful blue eyes with his family by his side on December 17, 2020. While here on earth for a much shorter time than we all wished, Woody, a devoted and loving husband, developed wonderful relationships as a gentle grandpa, a warmhearted father, a benevolent brother, a faithful friend, a reliable and esteemed business colleague, and an obedient son. In each role, Woody served as a pillar and a guide to his friends and family, providing unconditional love, friendship, and support. Woody lived a selfless life, serving his country in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War, supporting the communities he lived in, as a committed Christian, and his colleagues as a General Manger for Hiland Dairy in Fort Smith, Arkansas and as a devoted Arkansas Razorback fan. Along this journey, Woody found great joy through his interactions with the people that surrounded him and developed many friendships that he held close to his heart. It is through his many friendships that Woody's life will live on and be shared for many years to come. Woody was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Coyeta (Clarkson) Rogers, and his brothers Kenny Rogers, Tony Rogers, Eddie Rogers, and Robbie Rogers. Woody is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Jan Dickey Rogers; his children, Brad (Cheryl) Rogers, and Jason Lee (Kim) Rogers; along with his grandchildren, Olivia Lee Rogers, Jackson Woodrow Rogers, Brody William Rogers, Harrison Thomas Rogers; a great-granddaughter, Aspen Lee; his sister, June Williams (J.G.). Arrangements have been entrusted by the family to Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Due to COVID restrictions, a private service of immediate family will be held.
