Barry Don Bailey, 71, of West Fork, died Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at his home surrounded by family. Born November 21, 1949 at Fayetteville, Ark., to John Bailey, Jr. and Prella Mae Bailey. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Louis Wayne Bailey, and one sister-in-law Patricia Kathryn Bailey. He is survived by his wife Sally and his son Scott, both of West Fork; one aunt, Jane Prince of Bentonville; one sister Joy Benjamen and her husband Gerald of Brentwood; his brother Jerry Bailey of Brentwood; in-laws Donna Bailey also of Brentwood; Susanne Reed, Nancy and James Fields all of Fort Smith, and Rick Roach of Carson City, Nevada; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He worked at APAC Central/McClinton Anchor for many decades as a shop supervisor. Graduate of Fayetteville High School class of 1968, he attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He served in the US Army Reserves and later joined the US Air Force honorably discharged as Sergeant. A religious service (because of current pandemic restrictions) of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, December 28, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville presided by Fr. Jason Tyler. Interment to follow at the Fayetteville National Cemetery, under the direction of Beard's Chapel.
