James W Matthews

James W. Matthews, age 85, a longtime resident of Springdale, passed away August 5, 2020, at Washington Regional Hospital. His wife Lynelle passed on July 1, 2014. He is survived by his sister, Virginia Isgrig, of Bel Air, Md.; niece, Katherine Christman of Alexandria, Va.; and nephews, Christopher Isgrig and Michael Isgrig of Bel Air, Md. Mr. Matthews served in the US Air Force and was a longtime employee of the US Weather Bureau. He was multi-talented, and, after retirement, built beautiful handcrafted furniture and cabinetry, as well as toys. He also enjoyed painting. His final resting place will be at the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark. He is missed by all who knew and loved him.
