JoAnn Danner

JoAnn Danner, age 83, passed away Friday, April 17, 2020 in Fayetteville. She was born October 26, 1936 in Fayetteville to Clarence and Viola (James) Rice. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years; Loy Joe Danner, and siblings; Gladys Clark, C.J. Rice, Wanda Mechsner, Betty Willis, and Mabel Triska. JoAnn was a long-time member of the Ridgeview Baptist Church in Fayetteville. She worked as a secretary for Fayetteville High School for many years and loved the students dearly. She loved sports, especially basketball. She liked to watch gameshows; and enjoyed her domino game nights with her friends. She had an intense sweet tooth and had a whole cabinet devoted to her treats that she enjoyed sharing with the people she loved. Above all she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them whether it was during a home cooked meal or watching Family Feud. She is survived by her daughters; Kelly Collyar and her husband Ritchey, and Tamra Melton and her husband Kerry, grandchildren; Cody Osbourn and wife Katelyn, Delaney Osbourn, Jaylen Melton, and Gerson Melton, and a great-grandchild; Sawyer Osbourn. Due to the current circumstances, a memorial service will be scheduled later. Interment will take place at Fairview Memorial Gardens under the director of Moore's Funeral Chapel.
