Thomas Peter Bevins II

Thomas Peter Bevins II peacefully passed from this life after a long illness at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas, on Tuesday, March 19, 2019. He was attended by his loving wife, Dail Louise Bevins. Tom was born in Seneca Falls, New York on June 26, 1936, to Thomas Peter Bevins and Louise Bernadette Stapleton Bevins. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1954, and received an honorable discharge in 1957. Upon completing his enlistment, he enrolled at the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana, and completed his undergraduate degree in 1962 at Hobart College, Geneva, New York. He continued his education at the Alexander Hamilton Institute of Modern Business Management (1963-1965) and Claremont Men's College and attained a Master's Degree in Business Administration Management in 1976 and an Executive Doctorate of Business Administration in 1988. His management career spanned over 40 years as an internationally recognized turn-around specialist and included top management positions across the globe. A life-long Catholic and perpetual student of the Church, he spent his time tirelessly researching the church he loved and discussing Holy Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the Tradition of the church with his friends, many of whom came to rely on his insight, appreciate his wit and valued his friendship. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Kathleen Eleanor Litchfield, and Mary Louise Brunskill. He is survived by his wife, Dail Louise Bevins of Springdale; eight children, Thomas Peter Bevins III (Jacqueline), Kelly Elizabeth Aldous, and Kimberly Ann Bevins all of Dallas, Texas, Martin Joseph Bevins (Katherine) of Austin Texas, Julibeth Stapleton Bevins of Shreveport, Louisiana, Mary Kathleen Whitehill (Robert) of Montclair, New Jersey, Michael Laskosky (Paulina) of Fox Lake, Illinois, Tara Louise Gillespie (Douglas) of Ontario, Canada; one brother, William Leo Bevins of Shreveport, Louisiana; and one sister, Colleen Ann Rizzieri of Charlotte, North Carolina. He was blessed with sixteen outstanding grandchildren, Katarina, Stefan, Sarah, Thomas, Anna Medora, Lilah, Davis, Patrick, West, Foster, Juliana, Kyron, Milla, Michael and Beau, and one wonderful great-grandchild, Ella Grace. The family would like to thank the compassionate people at The Circle of Life Hospice for their outstanding care and support throughout this difficult time. Words cannot express the gratitude of the family. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 22, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Tontitown with visitation and a Rosary beginning at 9 a.m. Burial will be at Fayetteville National Cemetery at 1 p.m. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, Ark. 72762.
