Earl Leon Cummings

Earl Leon Cummings (85) of Bella Vista, Ark. died on July 27, 2019. Mr. Cummings was born in Howe, Nebraska to George and Leola Cummings on August 2, 1933. He was a graduate of Auburn High School in Auburn, Neb. and was married to Mary Ellen Brown in1954. They had three children. Earl was employed in management capacities for Unysis for 30 years before retiring and moving to Bella Vista. Earl will be remembered by many because of his involvement in First United Methodist Church, and in helping grow the computer club in Bella Vista, where he taught classes and repaired friend's computers. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, his parents, his brother Lloyd and his two sisters, Georgia Reid and Karen Cockerill. Earl is survived by his wife, Bette Ann Coulter Cummings of their home; his children Douglas William (wife Barbara) Cummings of Chesterfield Township, Mich., Carla Renee (husband Nathan) Mitchell of Queen Creek, Ariz. and Peggy JoEllen (husband Rod) Walls of Macungie, Pa., and four grandchildren; two brothers, Roger (wife Pula) of Independence, Mo. and George IV (wife Nadine) of LaFeria, Texas; Bette's two daughters Jodi Kimball of Houston, Texas and Lisa (husband Brad) Strittmatter of LaVista, Neb., and her four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, August 5, 2019 at First United Methodist of Bella Vista. Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer Association, 5506 W.
