Bettie Sue Weathers

Bettie Sue Weathers, 90, of Fayetteville went home to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018. She was born on March 2, 1928 in Russellville, Ark., a daughter of James Ernest and Tina Lorene Motley Hood. Bettie was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 57 years, Fred Allen Weathers; and a brother, J.E. Hood. She worked as a telephone operator and a revenue office clerk. Bettie enjoyed painting, traveling, dancing and loved to entertain. She was a member of Wiggins United Methodist Church since 1966. Bettie is survived by two sons, James Weathers and wife, Mary Kay and Ken Weathers and wife, Kaye; four grandchildren, Jennifer Murillo and James Doyle Weathers and Kasey and Kory Weathers; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2018 at Beard's Chapel. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018 at Beard's Chapel with Bruce Smithson officiating.
