Kenneth Casimer Richter

Kenneth Casimer Richter, 71, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away at home, Nov. 15, 2018, after a long battle with cancer. Born in Chicago, Ill., Nov 19, 1946, to Casimer and Mary Ann (Polovy) Richter. He enlisted in the Navy in 1966 and served four years during the Vietnam War on the USS Morton. For 35 years he worked for Exelon (Commonwealth Edison) in Chicago. Ken loved watching all types of sporting events and faithfully read the sports page each morning. He enjoyed fishing and nature. Ken volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and served in various capacities at Bella Vista Community Church and River City Church in Washington, Mo. Preceded in death by his parents. Survived by his spouse of 25 years, Sherry (Partlow) Richter; two sons and spouses, Jerry and Martha Richter of Lockport, Ill., and Jason and Becky Richter of Orland Park, Ill.; and step-daughter and spouse Melissa and Callan Yeoman of Fenton, Mo. Ken has seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Samantha, Aleah, Holly, Joshua, Olivia, and William; and a sister, Kathy Lotz. Visitation will be Dec. 3, 2018, at 10 a.m., service at 11 a.m. at Village Bible Church, Bella Vista, Ark. Interment at Fayetteville National Cemetery at 2 p.m. Donations may be made to Piney Point Baptist Church, Rogers, Ark., or Village Bible Church, Bella Vista, Ark.
